Mitali Srivastava is a Co-founder and Chief Strategy Officer with Utopeia. She has an interesting career graph that includes advertising, journalism and PR that spans over 16 years. She did her MBA in HR, started her career as a TV reporter for Zee News, and followed it up as a political journalist for All India Congress Committee. She was a Senior Correspondent for All India Congress Sevadal (frontal organization for AICC). She was also the Deputy Editor for Training & Management (India’s first HR magazine). After seven years as a journalist, she decided to plunge into advertising and has never looked back.
Prior to Utopeia Mitali has worked in DDB Mudra as Associate Vice President where she worked on clients across verticals of DDB India, DDB Health & Lifestyle, Rapp India and Tribal DDB. She has also worked at Ogilvy & Mather and TBWA \ India and has led strategic planning for various brands and services. Mitali is also an accomplished trainer and researcher, having conducted in depth projects on India’s super rich, teenagers, women and kids amongst other groups. She has also led the New Knowledge & Insights cell for Ogilvy in Mumbai.
Mitali’s brand experience is dynamic just like her career. She has worked closely with brands like, Neutrogena, Clean & Clear, J&J,CIPLA, Volkswagon, Lipton, Nivea, Bournvita, Platinum Guild, Big Bazaar, Asian Paints, Tata Sky, Kodak, Opulence, Essel World, BPL Mobile, Indian Oil, Godrej, Twinings, etc .
She has also won numerous awards like Effies, AME, James E Burke.
Mitali is based in Mumbai and is married to a British national. She loves to wear boots throughout the year, regularly experiments with her hair and passionately loves non vegetarian cuisines from across the world.
